"Success got you here. It won't get you where you're going next."
Why I Do This
There's a profound difference between truly being on your path and going through the motions. Most high-achievers know that difference intimately — because they've experienced both.
We lie to ourselves in sophisticated ways. Justify the discomfort. Make peace with the gap between where we are and what actually matters. For some it's fear. For others it's a identity that no longer fits. Whatever it is — if you're ready, we'll find it together.
This is my passion. This is what I live to do.
What would it feel like to wake up genuinely excited about what's next? What if nothing stood between you and a life with more meaning, clarity, and intention?
What Sets Me Apart
I only work with people who are ready. I've been at this long enough to know the difference. If you're not ready for real change there's no place for you in my practice — not because I'm turning you away, but because I'd be wasting your time and mine. It doesn't mean you'll never be ready. It may just mean not yet.
I'll make you uncomfortable. Big changes don't happen in your comfort zone. Your growth matters more to me than being liked by you. If a question needs to be asked, I'm going to ask it.
I'm pragmatic — not woo-woo. Real tools. Real studies. No healing crystals, no horoscopes. I promise.

What I Believe
You already have the answers. My job is to ask the right questions to surface them. The resources are inside you — we just have to dig.
Anything useful is fair game. Philosophy, behavioral science, perspectives from cultures and traditions you may never have encountered. If it helps you see things differently, we'll use it. If it works, it stays.
If we connect and you're ready, we'll have progress. I don't take on clients I can't help — it's bad for you and bad for my reputation. My success is measured entirely by your breakthroughs. If I'm not the right person for what you need, I'll tell you honestly and point you toward someone who is.
Credentials
A year of coaching curriculum at the International Coach Academy, endorsed by the International Coach Federation — plus coursework in Landmark Education, Colorado Outward Bound, and Positive Psychology.
An undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology — because the fascination with why people do what they do has always come first. A Global MBA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management followed naturally.
Interviewed on live national television in four countries, live radio in seven, and more podcasts and publications than I've kept count of.
Over the years I've mentored hundreds of new coaches — and occasionally refer prospects to them when I think they're a better fit. I'd rather you work with the right person than the wrong one.
I adhere to the International Coach Federation Code of Ethics.

Get to know me
I've started completely over and moved to a new continent twice — with no idea how things would work out.
Living location-independent has been part of my life since long before it was cool.
I was adopted at birth and eventually met my entire biological family on both sides. Life has a sense of humor.
I'm divorced, remarried, and a stepfather. Life throws things at us in ways we never see coming — and sometimes they turn out to be the best things.
I believe taking care of your body is the foundation of any meaningful change. I track HRV, VO2 Max, and body composition — not obsessively, but intentionally.
As an entrepreneur and a genuinely restless, curious person, there's always another project alongside the coaching. Right now it's a book about curiosity.
Mountains bring me peace like nowhere else. I make sure I'm always living near some. Currently — the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria, near the Greek border.
Warmest regards,

“…a life changing experience.”
I had the pleasure of partnering with Paul Strobl for coaching. It has been a life changing experience.
He is able to carefully listen and pick the best tools that improve my cognitive reasoning and decision management.
He is also very personable and kind and feels like talking to a wise friend. I frequently reflect back on things I learned from him along the way. He is passionate about what he does and great at it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My time with Paul as a coach has been a game changer.
He is insightful, thoughtful, and excellent at finding the right story, book, quote, or blog post to give a new perspective on a real problem.
I was concerned about working over the phone with someone in this capacity, but Paul’s personality and complete attention during every conversation made him feel like an instant friend.
As someone going through a career change, several moves, and an ever-increasing demand on my time from multiple fronts, Paul’s coaching helped me focus, prioritize, and ultimately find balance in my life again.

“I was asking the wrong questions”
I came to Paul as I was totally stuck on a big life question, and through the coaching sessions and the great reading list I came to realise I was asking the wrong questions.
Once I changed direction, I was able to make really quick progress in setting myself up for success.
